Module 10

I found the Bloom's HOT Diagram to be really relevant, because working online does encourage more evaluative, analytical skills to be used. It also allows children to create, reflect, collaboarate and share, which are all vital skills in the 21st century workplace. Overall the WEB 2.0 skills and programs are helping children to become confident, 21st century life long learners. I have completed my reflections on the wetpaint wiki and added a link to a You Tube clip titled the '21st Century learner" It really provokes you to think about pedagogy in this century. I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and hope that the positive response from teachers will encourage CEO Advisors to structure future professional development online, it means teachers are working at their own pace and are in class more!

Module 9

Scootle is wonderful... FJT had Adrian Brown come to a staff meeting in Term 2 and model how o create leraning pathways with access codes, so the children can use scootle @ home. It is a fantastic database with lots and lots of great ideas. I wonder who is going to mesh all the properties on editure/ my internet with the leraning federation ones? I am worried about CEO replacing editure with a wiki, because I will loose access to my properties. I have recently created a FJT IT Staff Development My Classes Page and a beginning REC My Classes. I already use facebook (too much), it is a great way to communicate with friends and family. I alos like it because unlike a text or phone call, I can choose who to communicate with and when. (My generation (Y) have millions of friends but no friendships apparently???). I had a look a twitter, I think thats more of a celebrity cult thing, personally prefer facebook. :)

Module Eight

Google reader is a good way to manage blogs and internet seraching. I am constantly finding websites now and adding them to my delicious account. The students in my class have created blogs and when I signed into Google Reader their posts and pics automatically came up, because they are following my class blog. I need to spend more time with delicious. Might get Leonie Palmer to give me another demo!

Module 7

Delicious is fantastic, a sophisticated version of bookmarks and favourites on Internet Explorer. I like that I can access other people in my networks tags and bookmarks without needing them to approve me like facbook does. I commented on leonie's blog. I will show the delicious site to my Year 6 children, a useful research tool for online work. I am looking forward to investigating the RSS Feeds. The wetpaint wiki keeps on sending me emails to let me know that helen has updated someone. I am finding this very frustrating and time consuming to delete several emails a day that i dont need to!

Module 6

I found bubbl us to be a great online, interactive mind mapping tool, which is easy to use. This is fantastic as the generic mind map on promethean gets a little boring. The Glogs are amazing... I created an Antarctica glog and linked a u tube clip to a picture. I am a little confused about how the kids access my classroom glogs, I tried to embedd the URL link into a DIY Property, or paste it as a link on my noticeboard but its restricted to my log on only. Great idea to let the kids 'glog' as an ICT/ KLA Assessment.

Module 5

At the moment I have a wonderful Mum who worked in animation for 10 years and is now studying technology at Uni so she is working with myself and my Year 6's on podcasting using garage band. During Term 4 we are going to pocast on our class blog; (check it out)

I tunes is a fab program, the iphone apps are even more fun. Digital storytelling is fantastic. I would like to see children bringing in their ipods and downloading audio books and podcasts to use during literacy sessions.

Thoroughly enjoyed this Module and the course so far. The outline of this course is fantastic, especially as its avaliable during school hols. It even inspired me to create a staff IT My Classes page, complete with a voki thanks to Helen Christou :) (Thanks Helen).
